The Latest News from PE
It is great to be back in the classroom with many of our year ten and twelve students. All members of the PE department who have been in have been really impressed with the quality of work from students both in the classroom and with their hard work and dedication from home. Mr Weston is now delivering live lessons to year seven and eight while Mr Okunja and Ms Soni are delivering live GCSE lessons to their GCSE classes.
In addition to working with our current students, we have also had the opportunity to welcome our new year twelve students with some tasks to get them ready for September as well as introducing ourselves to the year six students who will be joining us in September.
The PE department have also arranged some live Q&As with some professional athletes including Bristish and European Champion boxer Lawrence Okolie, Brighton F.C’s Dale Stephens amd most recently West Ham and Republic of Ireland goal keeper Darren Randolph. All the guests were great and answered some fantastic questions asked by our students – check out the interviews on our you tube page.
Members of the department have also been keeping themselves fit and healthy; Mr Okunja has been running London with some impressive stats, Mr Weston has enjoyed cycling and visited several football grounds while Mr Starkey is happy back on the golf course!
Lastly, please check out our Instagram and twitter page for our weekly challenge – let us know how you do and if you can beat the teachers!
