Performing Arts Update
It has been a busy term in performing arts with lots of exams taking place. Usually, by this point in the year, the Year 11 and 13 cohort would have completed 40% of their course. However, due to the pandemic this has not been the case and it has been all stations go.
Thursday 12th November saw the Year 13 A-Level Drama cohort complete their component 1 exam. Students performed a challenging and thought-provoking piece in the style of the French practitioner Antonin Artaud. These performances had been rehearsed by students for around 8 weeks and count towards 40% of their final exam. Unfortunately we will not find out the results of this until August 2021, however students performances were incredibly powerful and they should be very proud!
Next up we will see the Year 11 GCSE cohort completing their component 1 performances. This is taking place on 19th November and follows a similar format.
Please wish them luck.
